Woo hoo! Thanks pal :)

Well, I think I've actually managed to create my first blog post! Here's the package from my fabulous secret pal. I have a pattern picked out for the sock yarn already :)

Getting that pic up there took some doing!

Thank you! Thank you!

I have to say that I think MY secret pal is the best! Unfortunately, I am convinced that if I download one more thing to my computer it will have a glorious crash. I decided to direct you to a webpage (no blog--maybe soon) to see the pictures of my gift! Those pictures will be posted soon (when I get my new computer!!!).

First I must apologize for getting this posted so late. The package arrived while I was gone over the weekend but my husband informed me it was here and I counted the days until I got home to open it.

I opened the unsuspecting box to find: Knitter's Review pencils that say, "The Surgeon General has determined that knitting may be habit-forming" (may be???), cuticle and nail oil, smell good soap, 2 balls of Jaeger Chamonix in a gorgeous chocolate brown, small plastic needle gauge finder, chocolate fondue flavored lip gloss and a beautifully knitted gift bag (from Last Minute Knitted Gifts) filled with lots and lots of Easter candy, including a solid chocolate bunny and Peeps!!!

So I will post pics soon!!

Thanks, again, secret pal--YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

I got a package from my Secret Pal today!! I love the white cotton, and the purple-y wool will make a really nice purse! I'm going to go try some chocolate tea right now, and I've already eaten some of the Runts - they're some of my favorites! Thanks Secret Pal! :o)

Thanks, pal!

Just got a fabulous package from my pal - two skeins of pink and purple Koigu KPPPM, which I am thrilled to have. Also a lovely lavendar sachet, which made the whole parcel smell wonderul, even before it was opened.

Hey maybe I'm a complete idiot but I can't work out how to upload a photo to this blog. I have signed up for Hello BloggerBot and added my photo there, but don't know how to get it to this post. Can anyone help?

Nicola (am I the only person in the world who doesn't have a blog?)

My secret pal ROCKS!!!

LOOK what came in the mail yesterday right before I left for the knitting meetup???? Click the pics for larger images to oooooh and aaahhhh properly!

Can you believe the haul???? OH I was so excited, it was even wrapped in a pretty purple bag with tissue paper and I should have taken a pic then, but we all know I have the patience of a fruit fly, so it was ripped while I was in the car driving to the knitting meetup. I tried to wait, I really did, but I only made it to the plaza before it was out in my lap! WOOO HOO baby, thank you secret pal!!!

Here's the goods.....the best felting book EVER, I already have about 6 projects picked out to make, burts bees facial kit (man this stuff smells GOOD), a thread cutter pendant which is VERY COOL, this unusual silver pen that has cool jangly charms on the end so I may jangle as I write....a card that has a freaking necklace pendant in it, HOW cool is that? AND AND AND a very unusual scarf pattern for a zigzag modular scarf COMPLETE with the cool handpainted supermerino yarn AND the needles to create it!!! SEE, she ROCKS! Thank you again, I'm a tiny bit intimidated by the scarf pattern, but I can see it's going to possess me much like my so-called scarf did! I'm running by the lys so I can get the yarn wound up and I'll be rocking right along!!!

Thank you Secret Pal! I am LOVING the colors on the merino hand painted yarn!!! Can't wait to get started. It was so sweet to even send the needles I'd need so I don't have to pick up ANYTHING to get going on this project!

Thanks for really making my day, heck my whole month!

Contact

Everyone should have contacted their Secret Pal by now. It doesn't have to be anything big, just a simple email or postcard saying you're out there. Please make sure you are checking your bulk / junk folders. Sometimes emails get routed there by mistake.

If you haven't heard anything from your Secret Pal, please send the moderators an email (the same email address where you sent your surveys) and indicate in the subject line whether you are in the monthly or bimonthly program. Also, please include your name. There's a lot of people participating and sending emails from their various email addresses. Signing it "Jane" doesn't tell us if you are "Jane Doe" or Jane Smith". It'll make us respond quicker if you know exactly who you are.

Please check the KRSP3 message board periodically if you have your email preference set up to "no email". There might be a few announcements that you may have missed.

I hope everyone is having fun getting to know their SPs and choosing the gifts for them!

Thanks, Secret Pal!

What a surprise! I got a wonderful package today, and I got to open it while I was at work. There are two balls of a delicious Italian sock yarn (looks like bing cherries!), a skein of Cherry Tree Hill Merino Mini in the Spanish Moss colorway (I've always wanted that one!), a set of Brittany DPN's (how did you know that I need some US 1's?), some yummy sugary tidbits, and a cool card. It's all perfect -- are you sure we haven't met?

So, my dear Secret Pal, I just want to let you know how thrilled I am, and how much I love this feeling of having someone take the time to choose and send so many surprises. I'm about to burst!

Am I the first one to post?

Well, I believe I was one of the first ones to receive her first package and here it is:

krspgifts

Two balls Four Season Sabrina in colors that are so me, two balls of Gedifra Verusca (my first Gedrifa, cannot wait to try it), a beautiful necklace that I believe she made for me and a card with a poem by Cynthia E. Gazelle.

I only have one question: do we know each other? Maybe from a previous life? How can a complete stranger get me so much? I am starting to think that all knitters are witches .......
